BLUE AND YELLOW SUGAR ENGINE IN THE PHILIPPINES The little sugar cane-hauling locomotives of the Hawaiian-Philippine Sugar Company on the island of Negros, Philippines, were painted a brilliant blue and yellow livery and kept immaculate in appearance. Tall-stacked 0-6-0 No.3 brought a trainload of fresh-cut cane into the mill yard at Silay on December 29, 1981; the little American-built engine had been modified by local shop forces over its service life.
